Feuling High Load premium performance Beehive valve springs are designed for steep ramped large lift camshafts. These valve springs are made from premium stress relieved conical ovate wire with a nitrided surface heat treatment, shot-peened surface enhancements along with a Nano Peen polish. They have an extremely high level of fatigue life and are designed to handle the highest demands of performance engines with high lift, steep ramped camshafts. Beehive valve springs use a much smaller and lighter weight retainer which drastically reduces the valve weight creating a much quicker revving and smoother motion than comparable dual valve springs and are a direct bolt in replacement, no spring seat or rocker cover machining required up to 0.565 lift. These springs will accommodate over 0.600 cam lift but will require spring seat pocket machining on the cylinder heads to set correct spring open height. Dyno proven and track tested. -

In house testing, at Feuling shows venting the air cleaner to atmosphere may be problematic resulting in oil carry over/misting out of the breathers. When air filter venting is accompanied with the use of oil tank venting such as the Feuling vented dipstick and or a vented transmission top cover the oil carry over/misting can be increased. The overall health of the engine including the internal cylinder head breathers, oiling system and piston ring/cylinder seal play a major role with oil blow by, carry over and misting out of the breathers. Feulings testing shows the M-Eight engine has limited internal vacuum and the cylinder head breathers prefers the vacuum pull of the intake.
